This information was confirmed by Tynchtykbek Dosmuratov, the head of the education department of the city of Osh.
He explained that the old school building will be completely dismantled, and a modern educational institution will be built in its place.
“We conducted explanatory work with parents. Unfortunately, we did not have the opportunity to place students in other schools, so we have temporarily switched to distance learning,” he added.
Damir Kalykberdiev, the head of the regional capital construction department, reported that the new school will be three stories high and will accommodate 1,000 students.
“Currently, the demolition of the old building has begun. We are working together with one of the construction companies. Clarification of the project and estimate documentation is underway. Funding will be provided from the republican budget. If everything goes according to plan, the new school will open its doors in the current academic year,” Kalykberdiev noted.
