In Kochkor, 450 schoolchildren participated in events aimed at preventing violence against children
According to the press service of the Cabinet, the events took place in four schools in the Kochkor district located in the Naryn region.
From February 9 to 12, the Secretariat of the Commissioner for Children's Rights, together with the Public Association "Children's Protection Center," began implementing the second stage of the information caravan. This initiative is part of the Action Plan for implementing the recommendations of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child to prevent violence against children. The program will last until November of this year.
The main objective of the events is to foster an active life position in children based on self-respect and respect for others, which is the result of favorable upbringing and a safe educational environment.
About 450 schoolchildren and 280 parents participated in the events.
As part of the information caravan, various educational activities were organized on the theme "Let's unite efforts for the safety of children." During these events, meetings and discussions were held with teachers, parents, and local authorities on issues of violence prevention and strengthening the child protection system. Practical sessions on positive parenting were also organized, along with psychological consultations aimed at improving relationships between children and parents.
The continuation of the information caravan is planned in the Chui, Issyk-Kul, and Osh regions.
In the first stage of the information caravan, events were held in 12 schools, of which 6 were located in the Issyk-Kul region (Tyup and Jeti-Oguz districts), 2 in the Chui region, and 4 in Bishkek. This stage involved 1,300 schoolchildren from grades 7-11 and 620 parents.
