According to the updated building codes and regulations of the Ministry of Construction, it is now permitted to construct schools up to four stories high in Bishkek. This was announced on February 9 by the city's vice-mayor Azamat Kadyrov during a meeting of the permanent commission of the Bishkek City Council, which addresses issues related to the economy, budget, finance, and investments.

In response to a question from deputy Kanakei Alymkulova from the "Zhanı-Kuch" faction regarding where the construction of educational institutions according to the new standards is planned for this year, the vice-mayor stated that a new building for secondary school No. 89 will be constructed in accordance with these norms.

As clarified by the head of the Capital Construction Department, Ermek Arymbaev, one floor has been added to the design of the new building for school No. 89, resulting in a total height of four stories, including one technical floor.
