The results of scientific research should serve the economy and society, - head of the Ministry of Science
The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Science, Higher Education, and Innovations Gulzat Isamatova.
In her speech, Isamatova emphasized that science plays a crucial role in the development of the economy and the social sphere, highlighting the strategic importance of scientific research for the sustainable socio-economic progress of the country. She noted that the results of scientific work should find practical application in the real sector, the education system, and public administration, as well as have the potential for commercialization.
The meeting presented the results of the implementation of scientific projects aimed at developing key areas of science, technology, and innovation, as well as addressing pressing socio-economic issues.
The chairs of the expert councils for five areas reported on the completed work, achieved results, the level of implementation of planned indicators, as well as the introduction of the obtained results into production and their practical significance.
Members of the Scientific and Technical Council assessed the quality of the conducted research, the level of their scientific novelty, and the possibilities for the practical implementation of the obtained results.
Particular attention was paid to the efficiency of budgetary funds usage, the interdisciplinary nature of the research, and the prospects for further implementation and commercialization of scientific developments.
During the discussion of the expert councils' decisions, two projects in the technical direction and one in the socio-humanitarian direction, which did not meet the established requirements, were submitted for consideration by the Scientific and Technical Council.
As a result of the discussion, one of the projects received approval, while decisions were made to revise and resubmit the other two for consideration by the expert councils.
Ultimately, the Scientific and Technical Council noted the high level of success of the majority of projects implemented under the state order and recommended continuing support for promising and practice-oriented scientific directions. It was also suggested to include specific scientific developments in industry programs and strategic documents.
