The kindergarten building for 280 children, located on Kokum-Biy Street in Osh, has been returned to municipal ownership and is currently undergoing major renovations.

In Osh, on Külgön Biya Street, the renovation of the kindergarten has been completed, as reported by the press service of the city hall responsible for major construction.
As previously reported, kindergarten No. 18 was closed 32 years ago. During the inspection, it was found that in 1998 the property was transferred to private ownership in violation of the law.

On January 8, the city mayor visited the kindergarten to review the progress of the major renovations. “This was a state kindergarten that changed hands for 30–40 years and was in private ownership. It housed a university, a school, a kindergarten, and even a barracks. We went to court, won the case, and are now conducting major renovations at our own expense. This is a kindergarten for 280 children,” noted the head of the municipality.

He also emphasized that there are no kindergartens in the area from Kokum-Biy Street to the village of Kenesh, and parents have to transport their children to facilities located in the city center.
