Schoolboy Bekkan Allaberdiev took first place at the math Olympiad in the USA.
Among students from 40 countries, the 1st place was taken by Bekkan Allaberdiyev, a 4th-grade student from Kyzyl-Kiya in the Batken region.
At the Olympiad, which aimed to assess logical thinking and analytical skills, Bekkan represented the only school from the Batken region.
His mother, Elnura Abdylbasy kyzy, noted that Bekkan had previously won prizes in mental arithmetic competitions in Istanbul and Tashkent. “On January 6, Bekkan traveled to Los Angeles to participate in the XCEL Olympiad, where he became the only representative from his region and on January 10 won first place among participants from 40 countries,” his mother said.
She also added that he will participate in an Olympiad in Singapore in March. Bekkan has shown an interest in studying from an early age, is passionate about mathematics and mental arithmetic. He is the oldest of three children and is currently studying in the 4th grade at "Light Academy," Elnura shared.
