On March 16, at a meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on Agricultural Policy, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources Almaz Musaev announced the launch of a new electronic portal for monitoring forests and orchards in Kyrgyzstan. Currently, it is operating in test mode.

This portal provides the opportunity to:

- record GPS coordinates of each planting;

- classify forest areas, fruit orchards, and road verges;

- conduct online monitoring of the implementation of plans by regions.

According to Musaev, this electronic resource is being created in collaboration with the Ministry of Emergency Situations to enhance the transparency and effectiveness of greening activities. The completion of all set tasks is planned by March 31, 2026.

"Now we will be able to track where and what trees have been planted, as well as assess the effectiveness of these plantings," he added.
