9 million seedlings are planned to be planted in 2026 as part of the "Zhasyl Muras" project

At the meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on Agricultural Policy on March 16, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources Almaz Musaev presented data on the planting of green spaces as part of the presidential initiative "Zhasyl Muras." 

In 2022, the country planted 6,486 thousand seedlings, covering an area of 4,223 hectares.

In 2023, this figure increased to 7,572 thousand seedlings, which were planted on 5,000 hectares, with a planting efficiency of 64.35%.

In 2024, the area for green spaces amounted to 5,774 hectares, where 8,147 thousand seedlings were planted, resulting in an efficiency of 83%.

The planting plan for 2025 was set at 8.5 million seedlings; however, in reality, 8,239 thousand were planted on 6,420 hectares with a productivity of 74.57%.

For the following year, 2026, it is planned to plant 9 million seedlings, and preparatory work has already begun.

“These data have been coordinated with regional administrations and are carefully monitored during the planning process,” noted Musaev.
