Thanks to the joint efforts of inspectors from the Ecological Supervision Service and the Issyk-Kul Regional Administration, a raid was conducted to combat illegal fishing. The press service of the Ministry of Natural Resources reports this.

As a result of the inspection, old fishing nets with a total length of 400 meters were removed from the waters of Issyk-Kul.

“These illegal fishing gear causes significant harm to the lake's ecosystem and can contribute to the depletion of fish stocks. Therefore, inspectors continuously carry out activities to identify and prevent such violations,” the ministry's statement notes.
