Nearly 4 million soms in fines: results of inspections in the field of wildlife and plant protection

In 2025, the Ministry of Nature of Kyrgyzstan conducted 42 inspections and 561 raid activities aimed at the protection of plant and animal life.
According to information from the agency, as a result of these raids, 567 violations were identified, leading to fines totaling 3,907,500 soms, of which 3,594,500 soms have already been collected.
At Lake Issyk-Kul, 99 raids were conducted, resulting in 63 fines totaling 335,500 soms. Lawsuits were also filed for a total of 3,038,162 soms, of which 2,371,893 soms were successfully collected. During the operation, 30,600 meters of synthetic fishing nets were also destroyed.
At Lake Son-Kul, 100 raids took place, resulting in 98 violations and fines amounting to 308,000 soms. In this region, 3,800 meters of nets were confiscated and destroyed.
In total, 56,900 meters of synthetic fishing nets were removed from illegal circulation.
Additionally, it was reported that at Manas Airport, a case of illegal transportation of shot birds was recorded, for which a lawsuit was filed for 265,500 soms, which was fully collected.
At the Dostuk checkpoint, 200 sea turtles were detained, which were later transferred to the Osh Zoo.
It is also noted that in accordance with the decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 131, an inventory of 1,267 recreational facilities was conducted. Currently, there are 226 wastewater treatment facilities operating in the country; however, 868 guest houses lack such facilities. The service will continue its work on the protection of natural resources and prevention of violations.
