This committee was established under the cooperation agreement on climate signed in 2024. The Climate Financing Center under the Cabinet of Ministers has been designated as the secretariat of this body. All relevant ministries and agencies are required to provide the committee with the necessary support in its activities.
Composition of the Kyrgyz delegation in the Joint Climate Committee
- Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic, responsible for state policy in the field of ecology and climate (co-chair from the Kyrgyz side);
- Deputy Minister of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic, dealing with issues of external finance and technical assistance within the framework of state investments;
- Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, overseeing state policy in the field of green economy;
- Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic;
- Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Korea;
- Director of the Climate Financing Center under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic.
