In Bishkek, the launch of the regional project "Green Cities" was discussed
Today, a meeting took place in Bishkek, during which the Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic met with a delegation from the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ). The meeting discussed the details of the implementation of the regional project "Green Cities," which is financed by the Ministry of Economy and Climate Protection of Germany.
The project includes three countries: Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. In Kyrgyzstan, the main partner is the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision.
The main goal of this project is to develop cooperation at the international and regional levels, exchange best practices in sustainable urban development, as well as strengthen institutional capacity and prepare master plans for sustainable urban development. This initiative includes activities for experience exchange between cities of the participating countries, the development of climate solutions, and the implementation of modern methods for managing environmental processes.
The participants of the meeting expressed their desire to continue cooperation and implement specific activities within the framework of the "Green Cities" project aimed at creating a sustainable and environmentally safe urban environment in Kyrgyzstan.
