At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on February 5, Daniyar Amangeldiev, the First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, highlighted the steps being taken to combat smog.

During his speech, he reported that plans of action had been developed in cooperation with parliament and the necessary resources had been identified to tackle this issue. In particular, work on gasification is ongoing, within which citizens are offered preferential loans through two banks for connection to gas supply.

Attention is also being focused on the issue of greening, and local self-government bodies are actively engaged in this task.

“In addition, key measures are being implemented to promote electric transport. Electric vehicles in the country are exempt from VAT, and within the framework of the EAEU, a quota of 15,000 units has been allocated. Currently, more than 200 electric vehicles are arriving in the country daily,” added Amangeldiev.
