He specified that these electric vehicles are exempt from value-added tax (VAT).
“In accordance with the agreements within the EAEU framework, we have been granted a quota for 15,000 electric vehicles. Citizens are actively taking advantage of this opportunity, bringing in more than 200 cars every day. We have been utilizing such quotas for three years now, which contributes to the increase in the number of electric vehicles in the republic and improves the environmental situation regarding air pollution,” emphasized Daniyar Amangeldiev.
