A Man Spilled Paint on Carpet and Rinsed It in River Water. The Ministry of Natural Resources Fined Him 10,000 Som.

Employees of the Osh Regional Department of the Environmental Protection Service conducted an inspection after a video appeared on social media, showing a man pouring paint on a carpet and then cleaning it in a river.
During the investigation, it was revealed that this video material was filmed by a local resident B.u.B. for the purpose of advertising carpets in a high-altitude pasture in the Sary-Oy area, located in the Alai district.

Based on Article 236 of the Code of Offenses concerning the protection of water from pollution and littering, the man was fined 10,000 soms. In addition, he received educational guidance.

“The actions captured in the video contradict environmental standards. The citizen acknowledged his mistakes and published an apology on social media, explaining his actions,” the Ministry of Natural Resources reported.
