In the Alai District, a man washed a mat in a mountain river. He was fined.
According to information provided by the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Osh regional office of the Environmental and Technical Supervision Service initiated an inspection after a video surfaced on social media, in which the man demonstrated this process. This incident caused significant public outcry.
During the inspection, it was revealed that the video was created to promote carpet products in the high-altitude pasture of Sary-Oy in the Alay district.
As a result of the investigation, the man was fined 10,000 soms for violating environmental standards, according to Article 236 of the KR Code on Offenses. Explanatory discussions were also held.
The agency emphasized that the actions captured in the video contradict environmental standards. "The man acknowledged his mistake and published an apology on his Instagram page, explaining his position," the statement noted.
The Ministry urged citizens to adhere to ecological rules when using natural resources.
