According to her, burning coal is one of the main sources of smog. This process releases hazardous substances such as carbon monoxide and arsenic, which have detrimental effects on health. In light of this situation, Mongolia and several other countries have started using smokeless stoves, which have significantly improved air quality. The deputy called for measures to control such stoves and to expedite the process of gasification in the capital.
Mavlyanova also emphasized that smog can lead to diseases such as asthma, bronchitis, cardiovascular diseases, and in the long term, oncological diseases.
