Two Men Fined for Illegal Fishing on the Jazy River in the Uzgen District

On January 8, in the Uzgen district, inspectors from the Environmental Supervision Service of the Osh region, together with employees of the "Bars-2" group of the NABU organization, conducted a raid, during which cases of illegal fishing were identified.

During the operation, a citizen was found fishing in the Jazy River without the necessary permits. He was fined 1,000 soms in accordance with paragraph 1 of Article 266 of the Code of Offenses, which pertains to violations of amateur fishing rules.

Additionally, another citizen was detained for using prohibited synthetic nets, known as "screen" devices for catching fish in the Jazy River. For this violation, he was fined 5,500 soms according to Article 267 of the Code of Offenses, which regulates the use of synthetic nets and electrofishing systems in fishing.
