Drugs and Weapons Found with Resident of Kemin District
On February 19, during the investigation of a criminal case conducted by the Tokmok city police, a search was carried out at the home of a citizen known as D.N., born in 1970, who is temporarily residing in the village of Tort-Kul in the Kemin district.
During the search, law enforcement officers discovered and seized dark green substances with a characteristic odor, a package containing plant material, as well as a rifle with a silencer and scope, two smoothbore shotguns, and over 200 cartridges of various calibers, stored without the necessary permits, as stated in the official report.
Expert analysis showed that the seized substances are narcotics: cannabis (marijuana) weighing 281.328 grams, as well as hashish weighing 0.4781 and 0.4440 grams.
According to the experts' conclusions, the rifle is classified as a rifled firearm model TOZ-17 with a caliber of 5.6 mm, one of the shotguns is a smoothbore firearm with a caliber of 12, model "IZH-18M," and the second shotgun is a smoothbore caliber 20, model "Mauser 98." All ammunition is factory-made, operational, and can be used.
Based on the stated facts, a criminal case has been initiated under articles 267 (Illegal trafficking of weapons and ammunition) and 283 (Illegal manufacture of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and their analogs without the purpose of sale) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The investigation is ongoing.
