
Police officers in the Chui region conducted a raid called Arsenal, during which a local resident of the Kemin district was detained. He is suspected of illegal trafficking in weapons, drugs, and hunting wild animals, as reported by the regional Department of Internal Affairs.
The operational actions were carried out on February 18, 2025, when officers from the Kemin district police conducted an urgent search at the home of citizen O.N., born in 1974, residing in the village of Shabdan. The search was initiated based on received operational information within the framework of a criminal case.
During the search, smoothbore firearm IZH 12 caliber with cartridges was found in the house, as well as cartridges for rifled weapons, the caliber of which was not established.
Additionally, during the inspection, carcasses of wild animals were seized, including the head of a wild goat (roe deer), skins of a wild boar, two carcasses of wild pheasants, and one carcass of a chukar partridge.
On the attic, a narcotic substance — cannabis — was also discovered, with a total weight of 1.5 kilograms after control weighing.
In connection with these facts, a criminal case was initiated under Articles 267 (Illegal trafficking in weapons and ammunition), 282 (Illegal manufacture of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and their analogs for the purpose of sale), and 310 (Illegal hunting or fishing of fish or aquatic animals) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The suspect was placed in a temporary detention facility. For the case, forensic examinations have been appointed, and investigative actions are ongoing.
