The strike targeted the uranium enrichment site "Shahid Ahmadian-Roshun." The Iranian side reports that no radiation leaks have been recorded, and residents of the surrounding areas were not threatened.
Currently, the Iranian Nuclear Safety Center is conducting a technical inspection at the facility. Specialists are assessing the damage caused and monitoring the radiation background to rule out the possibility of radioactive substance leaks.
In response to the attack, Iran launched a ballistic missile strike on the Israeli city of Arad. According to local media, the missile hit a residential building, causing it to collapse, trapping people under the rubble. Exact figures on the number of casualties are still being clarified, but preliminary reports indicate 88 injured.
Tehran emphasized that the strike on southern Israel, where the nuclear reactor and research center are located, was a retaliatory measure for the attack on the Iranian facility in Natanz.
