A tragic event occurred on March 13, 2009, when three people were killed: Medet Sadykulov, who was then the head of the Administration of President Kurmanbek Bakiev, his driver Kubat Sulaymanov, and political scientist Sergey Sleptchenko.
On that day, they were returning from Kazakhstan. According to the investigation, they were stopped by representatives of the law enforcement agencies as they crossed the border and then taken to a dacha near Bishkek. There, the murders took place, and the bodies were placed in a vehicle and burned on the highway near the village of Koy-Tash to disguise the crime as a traffic accident.
With the fall of Bakiev's regime, a new wave of investigation began. During the investigation, it was revealed that the organizer of the crime was Janish Bakiev, the brother of the ousted president and former head of the State Guard Service, Janish Bakiev.

In 2012, the court sentenced seven defendants to various terms. One of the executors of the murder was identified as athlete and kickboxing champion Sanjar Adylbekov. However, he was not presented in court, as in 2011 he and other suspects were placed on the wanted list via Interpol. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on November 26, 2021, Sanjar Adylbekov was detained, and on November 27, he was placed in pre-trial detention center No. 1.
The case against Adylbekov was completed, and the materials were transferred to the Alamudun District Court. The widows of the murdered acted as victims: Ainagul Sadykulova, Elena Sleptchenko, and Kubat Sulaymanov's sister — Chynara Sulaymanova.
During the court session, Adylbekov did not admit his guilt. On November 18, 2022, Judge Bekbolot Janaliev found him guilty and sentenced him to 14 years in prison.

Now Sanjar Adylbekov is a defendant in another case — the murder of the criminal authority Chyngyz "Doo" Jumagulov, while in pre-trial detention center No. 1.
Main points of the indictment against Sanjar Adylbekov:
At 02:27 on March 13, the then-chairman of the State Border Service, Zamir Moldoshev [convicted in 2012 for concealing a crime and abuse of power, sentenced to 5 years in prison — ed. note] informed Janish Bakiev about the arrival of Sadykulov and his companions in Kyrgyzstan. Janish, in turn, reported to his assistant Tahir Rysaliev [who is also wanted — ed. note]. The indictment notes that Moldoshev was carrying out criminal orders from Kurmanbek Bakiev.
Tahir Rysaliev. Also wanted since 2011
A former member of the special unit "Alpha" of the GKNB, Bakyt Baizhanov [convicted for complicity in murder and kidnapping. He was sentenced to 15 years, but is now free — ed. note] changed into a road patrol uniform. At 02:35 in the village of Lenin, Alamudun District, he stopped a Lexus LX570 with license plate B1595R, driven by Sulaymanov, with Sadykulov and Sleptchenko as passengers. The then-captain of the State Guard Service, Marat Turdukulov [convicted for abuse of power and complicity in murder, sentenced to 18 years, and is currently free — ed. note], threatened the driver with a weapon, forced him out of the car, and illegally searched him.
After that, he handed over the driver Sulaymanov to Aybek Abdyrazakov [wanted since 2011, and in 2015 it became known that he lives in Belarus under the name Aydin Adylov — ed. note], who found two Motorola mobile phones on him.
Aybek Abdyrazakov, wanted since 2011. In 2015, it became known that he lives in Belarus under the name Aydin Adylov
Abdyrazakov took the phones and sent the driver to Ergashbek Matkaiymov, the head of a security agency [convicted for complicity in murder and kidnapping, sentenced to 15 years — ed. note]. The latter handcuffed Sulaymanov and handed him over to Rustam Saiduev [an associate of Janish Bakiev, who is also wanted. In 2010, he fled to Belarus, and in 2015 it became known that Saiduev received a Belarusian passport and changed his name to Dementyev Alexander Romanovich — ed. note]. Saiduev placed Sulaymanov in the back seat of a BMW 740 with license plate B0482J, owned by Rysaliev.
Rustam Saiduev, wanted since 2011. In 2015, it became known that he lives in Belarus under the name Alexander Dementyev
Saiduev and Matkaiymov pressed the driver against the sides, and the car headed to the village of Kok-Zhar, house No. 80 on Konur Osmon Street.
Janish Bakiev arrived at the scene in a service vehicle, a Toyota Land Cruiser 200. His driver was Altynbek Amrakulov, and the security detail consisted of State Guard Service employees.
Janish Bakiev ordered his guards to stay at the gate, while he entered the house. He began to beat Sadykulov, insulting him and accusing him of attempting to overthrow Kurmanbek Bakiev's regime.
Not stopping there, Janish used a stun gun and began to torture Sadykulov. Despite pleas for it to stop, the abuse continued, and eventually, Sadykulov lost consciousness.
Janish then turned to Sleptchenko, Sadykulov's friend, believing that he was aware of the plans and helped carry them out — he was also brutally beaten until he lost consciousness.
At approximately 03:35, Janish Bakiev ordered Saparbekov, Turdukulov, and Abdyrazakov to kill Sadykulov and Sleptchenko, saying: "Finish them off."
Saparbekov strangled Sadykulov, while his friend did the same to Sleptchenko. At the time of the murder, all three were unconscious. The driver, Sulaymanov, was also strangled.
At 03:42, Janish Bakiev called the deputy head of the Bishkek City Police, Nurlan Temirbaev [convicted for concealing a crime, but released as a result of amnesty — ed. note] and told him to "clean up the house" to hide the evidence. The murdered were placed in the Lexus, wrapped in tape, and some of the criminals remained in the house to clean up the traces.
Turdukulov took the wheel of the Lexus and headed towards the "Warm Springs" resort, while Janish drove in his service vehicle. Following them were Abdyrazakov and Saparbekov in the BMW. When they reached the village of Besh-Kungey, Turdukulov heard moans from Sleptchenko and Sulaymanov, and stopped the car. Saparbekov and his friends got out and delivered "finishing" blows to all three, after which they returned to the vehicle.
At approximately 04:10, they arrived at the "Wolf Gates" area [south side of Koy-Tash]. At that time, Omurbek Osmonov arrived, driving an Audi 100 with license plates S1721O, sent by the criminal authority Almanbet Anapiyaev [killed in 2015 in Minsk — ed. note].
Omurbek was shown how to simulate a traffic accident. He accelerated and crashed into the Lexus, which was parked on the roadside. Then the front parts of the Audi and Lexus, where the bodies of the murdered were located, were doused with gasoline and set on fire. The attempt to push the vehicles into a ravine failed due to the strong fire.
