The extortionist was caught red-handed and placed in a detention facility
A citizen named Z.S. contacted the Internal Affairs Department of the First May District in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, requesting assistance regarding A.I., as reported by the Main Internal Affairs Department of the city.
According to the case materials, A.I., upon learning of the applicant's husband's detention by the State Committee for National Security (GKNB), began to threaten her, stating that he would file a complaint against him. He also blackmailed the woman, claiming that his actions could worsen the situation for her husband.
The suspect demanded from Z.S. the sum of 50 thousand dollars, threatening that otherwise he would continue his actions, which would negatively affect her husband's situation.
In connection with this fact, a criminal case was initiated under Article 208 "extortion" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During operational activities, A.I., born in 1971, was caught red-handed while receiving 30 thousand dollars from Z.S.
The suspect is currently in the temporary detention facility of the Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek.
