A suspect has been detained in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, in connection with a series of fraudulent actions related to promises of assistance in obtaining driver's licenses. This was reported by the press service of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the city.
Law enforcement agencies received a statement from a citizen who reported that on December 11, 2025, in the "Kok-Zhar" area, an unfamiliar person named A.K. approached him and offered his help in obtaining a driver's license. After that, the young man handed him 120,000 soms.
As a result, a criminal case was initiated based on this complaint under Article 209, Part 2 (Fraud) of the Criminal Code.
Employees of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Bishkek City Police Department detained the suspect, known as B.M., born in 1998. He is currently placed in a temporary detention facility.
Law enforcement agencies believe that this individual may be involved in at least six similar fraud cases.
