The senior bailiff Ulukbek Tashbolotov reported that the case began with a court decision issued on April 8, 2022. The 39-year-old T.Sh.A. was obligated to pay child support to K.Sh.A., which amounted to half of his income since April 18, 2018.
However, for several years, the man did not fulfill his obligations. By March 2025, his debt had reached 700,000 soms. Due to his constant evasion of payments, the bailiffs initiated a criminal case under Article 178 ("Evasion of Parents from Supporting Children") of the Criminal Code.
On November 27, 2025, the Manas City Court decided to impose probation supervision on the accused for a period of 1 year.
However, the prosecutor's office and judicial authorities reviewed this decision, and on February 26, 2026, the judicial panel for criminal cases of the Jalal-Abad Regional Court revoked the probation. The court tightened the punishment: T.Sh.A. was arrested in the courtroom and sentenced to 2 years of imprisonment.
