As part of operations against organized crime in the Osh region, a significant stockpile of firearms and ammunition was found. This was reported by the press service of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).
According to intelligence services, this arsenal belonged to members of an organized criminal group led by the criminal authority Kadyr Dosonov, better known as "Zhenko".
As a result of the inspection, the following items were seized:
- 12 Kalashnikov automatic rifles (AK);
- 2 combat pistols "Beretta" and "Makarov";
- 2 shortened smoothbore shotguns (sawed-off shotguns);
- 11 magazines for the Kalashnikov rifle;
- 700 rounds of 7.62 mm caliber ammunition (in one sealed metal container - "zinc");
- 58 rounds of 9×19 mm caliber ammunition;
- 66 rounds of 9×18 mm caliber ammunition;
- 3 sets of cleaning supplies for firearms.
According to the investigation, this arsenal was planned to be used for committing particularly serious crimes aimed at destabilizing the socio-political situation in the country.
The statement indicates that the weapons were to be used at a "suitable moment," especially in the context of a possible escalation of the internal political and socio-economic situation in Kyrgyzstan.
It is mentioned that such events could be initiated by destructive forces within the country that sought to change the government in an unconstitutional manner.
In addition, there is information that support was expected from influential criminal authorities representing international criminal groups. Under the influence of the "thieves' idea" and with the possible return of the influence of the "Brotherhood Circle," they intended to re-establish a base for organized crime in Kyrgyzstan.
