According to information from the police, a criminal case has been initiated against Azhiev under Article 283 (illegal production of drugs and psychotropic substances without the purpose of sale) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The detainee has been placed in a temporary detention facility, and necessary judicial examinations have been appointed.
“Further investigative and operational activities are underway to clarify all the circumstances of the incident. The investigation is ongoing,” the Main Internal Affairs Directorate commented.
It should be noted that Daniil Azhiev, sentenced in 2024 to nine years of imprisonment, is the founder of webcam studios. In February of this year, he was released early by presidential decree. Shortly after that, he found himself at the center of a scandal when it became known that he left the colony by helicopter.
President Sadyr Japarov commented on Azhiev's departure in an interview with "Kabar," pointing out that his mother, who had appealed for clemency, took advantage of the kindness of the head of state.
Recall that Daniil Azhiev managed a network of webcam studios where, according to the investigation, many operators worked. Before his detention, he demonstrated a luxurious lifestyle, including elite cars, expensive watches, helicopter rentals, and visits to high-check restaurants. In 2023, he was detained while attempting to leave the country.
In 2024, the court sentenced Azhiev to nine years of imprisonment with confiscation of property. He was charged with several articles, including "Promotion of Prostitution," "Distribution of Pornography," "Creation of a Criminal Group," and "Money Laundering."
