Valery Stepanov, the father of one of the two individuals who died in a traffic accident on October 27, 2021, reported that attempts were made to blame his son for the incident.
According to him, the investigation was conducted by former investigator S.Z., who created an unrealistic scheme of the accident. Stepanov repeatedly requested to replace the investigator due to his work.
“According to our sources, physical evidence was destroyed or lost,” claims V. Stepanov.
He added that after the case was transferred to the police department of the Issyk-Ata district, evidence was collected that pointed to the guilt of another person.
Stepanov called for an examination of the legality of S.Z.'s actions, a review of all case materials considering the violations he mentioned, and ensuring a fair measure of restraint for the person responsible for the traffic accident.
Kunduz Kultekova, discussing the situation, spoke about her son's case, who was convicted of rape and was also under investigation by S.Z. in 2021.
According to Kultekova, the results of the forensic examination showed no evidence of rape; however, two months later, investigator S.Z. presented the results of a biological examination, which led to the suspect being charged. She claims that the investigator also provided other evidence that was not found during the search.
Kultekova reported that her son was sentenced to 13 years in prison. She appealed to the president to request the arrest of the former investigator.
