In the Chui region, a serious road traffic accident occurred, resulting in the deaths of two people. This information was provided by the regional traffic police.
According to the police report, the incident happened on March 1 at around 16:30 on the 100th kilometer of the Bishkek - Naryn - Torugart bypass road. The driver of a Hyundai Sonata LF, traveling from east to west, attempted to overtake a Nissan Serena and consequently collided with an Audi C4 in the oncoming lane.
As a result of the accident, a 68-year-old passenger of the Audi C4 sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. The 75-year-old driver of that vehicle also did not survive to reach the hospital and died en route to the regional hospital. The driver and passenger of the Hyundai Sonata were taken to a medical facility in the Kemin district.
