The incident occurred on February 24, 2026, when a citizen named M.M. reported a theft to the local department. He stated that on the night of February 24, around 2 a.m., an unknown individual broke the rear window of his Lexus RX in the parking lot of the Garden Hotel and stole a Stefano brand bag worth 166,000 soms, after which they fled the scene.
In connection with the events, a criminal case was opened under Article 205 ("Theft") of the Criminal Code.
As a result of operational search activities, the police were able to identify and detain the suspect — A.B., born in 1997. Law enforcement agencies found that he already had convictions for similar crimes.
The suspect was taken to the investigative department of the district police and, in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code, was placed in the temporary detention facility of the Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek.
During the investigation, searches were conducted in his apartment, where material evidence confirming his involvement in other similar offenses was found and seized.
