On February 22, a resident of Bishkek contacted law enforcement. She reported that she had handed over gold jewelry worth 5,154,600 soms for sale but became a victim of deception.
According to the legislation, this case was registered under Article 209 ("Fraud") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Law enforcement officials arrested the suspect, identified as S.A., born in 1987. She was placed in a temporary detention facility.
An investigation is currently underway.
