Rubber Apartments. Participants of the Illegal Migration Channel Sentenced in Russia

In Chelyabinsk, the Soviet District Court sentenced ten members of a criminal group engaged in illegal migration. Nine of them received actual prison sentences, while one defendant was fined, the press reports.

During the investigation, it was revealed that the group members provided foreigners with fake employment contracts and certificates confirming their knowledge of the Russian language and history for a monetary reward. Additionally, they were involved in arranging registrations in so-called "rubber apartments."

The operation to suppress the activities of this organization was carried out by the Ministry of Internal Affairs with the support of the FSB and the National Guard.

Among the convicted, three were sentenced to six years in prison, four received four years each, and two were sentenced to two to three years. The court imposed a fine of 300,000 rubles on the tenth defendant.

The court found all the defendants guilty under the article "Organization of illegal migration" of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
