A man tried to bribe a GKNB employee with 200-gram gold bars.

According to information from the State Committee for National Security (GKNB), a man was caught attempting to bribe an employee of this organization with gold bars.

On February 23, 2026, during operational-search activities, the GKNB of the Kyrgyz Republic detained a citizen named "D.R.E.", born on May 2, 1978. He attempted to hand over two gold bars weighing a total of 200 grams as a bribe in order to obtain a favorable decision on a case that is currently under investigation.

At the moment, "D.R.E." has been placed in the temporary detention facility of the GKNB of the Kyrgyz Republic, and the necessary investigative actions are ongoing.
