At least six citizens have fallen victim to a fraudster
In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, a suspect in serial fraud has been detained, reports the Interior Ministry of the Lenin District.
According to information from law enforcement agencies, on February 13, M. B. reported to the police about U., who in December 2024 promised to arrange a job for him at the company "Kumtor Gold Company." However, after receiving 135,000 soms from him, the offender did not fulfill his promises and disappeared.
In this regard, a criminal case was initiated under Article 209 of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan.
Law enforcement officers were able to identify and detain the suspect Z. U., born in 1990. He was taken to the investigative department and, according to Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, placed in the temporary detention facility of the Main Department of Internal Affairs.
During the further investigation, six more victims of his actions were identified.
