Employees of the Internal Affairs Department of the Sverdlovsk district of Bishkek conducted a successful operation to detain a suspect in fraud. According to the press service of the law enforcement agencies, the detained individual, citizen I.E., born in 1985, had been wanted since the fall of 2021.
The situation began in April 2021 when the victim, M.K., reported to the police. He stated that from November 2020 to January 2021, a barely familiar person named "E." gained his trust. While in the center of the capital, at the intersection of Kievskaya and Shopokova streets, this man promised to help solve the problem of the applicant's son's arrest in Moscow. For his services, he received 1 million 50 thousand rubles and then disappeared.
As a result, a criminal case was initiated under Article 204 ("Fraud") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
On February 20, 2026, law enforcement agencies were able to establish the whereabouts of the wanted individual. He is currently in the temporary detention facility of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate, where the investigation continues to check his involvement in other similar crimes.
