As reported by the Internal Affairs Department of the Issyk-Kul region, within the framework of the operational and preventive measure called "Arsenal," work is being carried out for citizens to voluntarily surrender illegally stored firearms in the district.
During the events, one of the residents of the village of Ala-Bash approached the police officers and reported that while grazing cattle, he stumbled upon a firearm of the "TOZ" brand, hidden in the cemetery area. At first, he did not attach much importance to it, believing that the gun belonged to someone else. However, later, during raids, he decided to report the discovered cache and indicated the location of the weapon.
The weapon was registered according to established rules and sent for forensic ballistic examination. Operational and preventive measures within the framework of the "Arsenal" raid continue in the district.
The law enforcement agencies are calling on citizens to voluntarily surrender illegally stored weapons and ammunition. It is important to note that individuals who voluntarily hand over weapons are exempt from criminal liability in accordance with current legislation.
