According to information provided by Cholponkul Madirov, Deputy Director of the Labor Legislation Control and Supervision Service, 19 workers died on construction sites in Kyrgyzstan in 2025. This information was announced during parliamentary hearings dedicated to the draft law "On Labor Protection."

Madirov noted that their service can only conduct scheduled inspections of working conditions, while the Ministry of Construction's inspection is present at every site from the start of work, including excavation, until the completion of construction. This inspection is responsible for monitoring working conditions and safety regulations on construction sites.

"Unfortunately, we can only intervene after an accident occurs," added the deputy head of the service.

Furthermore, he emphasized that despite existing limitations, at the beginning of the year, the service sends directives and reminders to construction companies about the necessity of adhering to safety standards.
