Illegal Fishing Detected in Batken Region
During the inspection, nine individuals were detained for violating established fishing regulations. It was revealed during the inspection that they were using prohibited means for catching fish.
Administrative protocols were drawn up against the violators, and appropriate measures were taken in accordance with the legislation:
- Nine citizens were fined a total of 9,000 soms in accordance with part 1 of Article 266 of the Code of Offenses;
- For six of them, decisions were made to recover damages amounting to 8,080 soms, as provided by government resolution No. 224.
Experts noted that illegal fishing of biological resources causes serious harm to the ecosystem and contributes to a significant decrease in fish populations.
