An employee of the National Center for the Protection of Motherhood and Childhood (NCPMC) in Bishkek has been detained by the police on suspicion of negligence that led to serious consequences. This was reported by the Main Department of Internal Affairs (MDIA).
On August 28, 2025, a statement was received by law enforcement authorities from citizen Z.S., alleging a possible medical error committed at the center.
According to available information, in October 2024, nephrologist N.B. made mistakes in the medical care of a minor, K.A., born in 2011, which ultimately resulted in the amputation of her right leg.
In connection with these circumstances, a criminal case was initiated under part 2 of Article 146 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning the improper performance of professional duties by a medical worker, resulting in serious harm through negligence.
Based on the results of forensic medical examinations, charges were brought against the suspect. In accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, she was detained and placed in the temporary detention facility of the MDIA of Bishkek.
The investigation is currently ongoing.
