According to the press service of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the capital, the incident was registered following a report from a citizen named D.B. He stated that on October 5, 2025, around 6:00 PM, he left his Kia Picanto in the courtyard of his house on Togolok Moldu Street and then left for Karakol. Upon returning on October 9, 2025, he discovered that his car was missing.
As a result of this incident, a criminal case was initiated in accordance with Article 211 (theft of a vehicle) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The detainee was placed in the temporary detention facility of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Bishkek.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the suspect sold the stolen car for 80,000 soms and spent the money on his needs. Currently, the Kia Picanto has been found and added to the case as physical evidence.
Further investigation is underway to identify other individuals involved in the theft, as well as to check for any possible connections between the detainee and other similar crimes.
