From February 13 to 25, 2026, an operational and preventive action called "Bandit" is taking place in Kyrgyzstan. According to information provided by the Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek, more than 30 suspects related to organized crime groups were taken to the police in the first two days of the event.
Of those detained, 7 individuals faced administrative measures, and 5 people were placed in a special reception center by court decision. During the operation, pneumatic weapons and their replicas were also seized.
The purpose of the action is to identify and suppress the activities of organized crime groups, search for individuals evading justice, and detect and seize illegal weapons, explosives, ammunition, and drugs.
To achieve this goal, operational and investigative units of the capital's police were involved, conducting a range of activities aimed at enhancing public safety and improving the criminal situation in the region.
