In Osh, a man posed as a police officer and extorted money


In Osh, a fraudster was detained who, posing as a police officer, is suspected of extorting money from the owner of a massage parlor. According to information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, this individual acted together with accomplices, presenting himself as a law enforcement officer.

The investigation established that three criminals, without presenting any identification, entered the parlor and conducted an illegal search, displaying aggression towards the owner. During this incident, they seized 32,000 soms and demanded additional funds.

Later, one of the fraudsters, calling himself "Marsel," extorted another 15,000 soms from the owner. Promising protection, he also arranged for regular transfers of 10,000 soms to his electronic wallet. As a result, the total amount of damage amounted to 77,000 soms.

Based on these events, a criminal case was initiated under Article 208 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning extortion.

As a result of operational activities, a citizen identified as K. uulu N., born in 1993, was detained while receiving another sum of money. It has been established that he has no relation to law enforcement agencies and may be involved in other similar crimes.

The detainee has been placed in the temporary detention facility of the Osh City Department of Internal Affairs.

Operational search actions are ongoing regarding the two other suspects. The investigation continues.
