As a result of a joint operation by the State National Security Committee (GKNB) and the Internal Investigations Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, an employee from the leadership of the Internal Affairs Department of the Kemin district was detained.
According to available information, B.M.B., born in 1992, terminated the criminal case against a group of individuals accused of raping a minor, despite the results of the forensic medical examination, which indicated the necessity to continue the investigation.
Furthermore, to legitimize his decision, he coerced the minor into giving knowingly false testimony in defense of the suspects.
According to the decision of the Oktyabrsky District Court of Bishkek, the detainee has been placed in custody and sent to the temporary detention facility of the GKNB. The investigative authorities of the GKNB plan to re-examine the materials of the criminal case regarding the sexual violence against the minor, as well as conduct a legal assessment of the actions of all involved parties.
