Conflict over child support for 3 children in Osh: Man kicked ex-wife down the stairs in the building of the bailiff service
According to available information, on February 11, a resident of Osh, I.A., born in 1993, approached the judicial authorities regarding alimony for her three daughters from her ex-husband. After 12 years of marriage and a separation due to domestic violence 3.5 years ago, she noted that her ex-husband had lost interest in the children. When she raised the issue of alimony, he refused to take responsibility for their upbringing. I.A. suggested that he consult a notary to formalize his refusal, after which they went outside. With her was a friend of her ex-husband, who suggested they talk aside.
An incident occurred on the stairs: the ex-husband suddenly kicked I.A. from behind, causing her to fall. The man approached her and began to beat her; however, other women nearby intervened and helped her. I.A. was taken to the hospital, where doctors diagnosed her with a fractured coccyx and a lower back injury. She noted that this was not the first instance of violence from her former partner, and she had not previously reported it to the police. However, after the last incident, she decided to file a complaint. According to her, the police seemed to have released her ex-husband without detaining him, and she feels afraid for her safety.
The press service of the Osh City Department of Internal Affairs reported that a protection order was issued for the victim.
According to police information, on February 11 at around 18:10, a call was received from a doctor at the Osh City Hospital stating that I.A. had sought medical assistance for injuries sustained on Kasymbekov Street.
This incident has been registered as a case of domestic violence, and an investigation is underway. In her testimony, I.A. pointed out facts of violence from her ex-husband. She was issued a protection order and a forensic medical examination was appointed to assess the severity of her injuries.
The victim's ex-husband, S.E., born in 1991, was detained and taken to the Ak-Buura Police Department for questioning.
Currently, the investigative authorities are awaiting the results of the examination, after which necessary procedural measures will be taken.
