A substance resembling drugs was found in the pocket of an organized crime group member
According to the agency, a special order was issued to implement the main organizational plan of the police for the first half of 2026. As a result, from February 12 to 14, a raid called "Bandit" took place in the region.
The purpose of this raid was to prevent crime, solve previously committed offenses, and conduct discussions with citizens who are registered with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic as members of organized criminal groups.
"During the raid, officers of the criminal investigation department and the city police department of Talas identified nine citizens registered as members of organized criminal groups. They were taken to the police for further investigation. Their fingerprints were taken, their possible connections to unsolved crimes were checked, and explanatory work was carried out," the report states.
Additionally, criminal investigation officers conducted a conversation and personal search of a resident of the Talas region named Sh.M., born in 1976, who is a member of an organized criminal group. As a result of the search, a substance resembling a narcotic was found in the pocket of his jacket, wrapped in dark cellophane," the document reports.
The fact was recorded in the electronic journal of information accounting of the Talas region's Internal Affairs Department, and a preliminary investigation is currently underway.
