According to local residents, the burning house was home to a family of three: a father, a mother, and their small child. Neighbors speculate that during the incident, the man sustained severe burns. He is currently in a medical facility and is connected to a mechanical ventilator (MV).
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the signal about the fire on Meiman Street was received on February 11, 2026. At 01:34, the first fire brigade from the city of Kant arrived at the scene, and at 01:55, the second brigade arrived. A total of two units were involved in extinguishing the fire. The complete extinguishment of the flames occurred at 04:16.
As a result of the incident, a man identified as I.N., born in 1970, was injured. He suffered from carbon monoxide poisoning and a first-degree burn on his left cheek.
