As reported by Deputy General Prosecutor Galymzhan Koigeldiev, they will be held accountable under the article on petty hooliganism. Additionally, the police have initiated an investigation under Article 174 "Incitement of interethnic hatred" of the Criminal Code of Kazakhstan.
According to local media reports, the video that the bloggers published from Almaty contained insults directed at Kazakh women. Later, they expressed regret for their statements and apologized. The specialized inter-district administrative court of Almaty issued a decision to arrest them for 15 days.
The bloggers' statements provoked a negative reaction among the citizens of Kazakhstan.
