At the meeting, measures to prevent road traffic accidents were discussed, and the work of the service for January was analyzed.
During the reporting period, PSMIA employees identified the following violations:
— 616 drivers operated vehicles while under the influence of alcohol (this is 341 cases more compared to January 2025);
— 1254 cases of driving in the opposite lane were recorded (493 more than last year);
— 483 drivers were detained for using illegal tinting on front windows (241 more);
— 22 cases of using counterfeit state license plates (10 more);
— 41,868 protocols were drawn up for violations;
— 11,672 vehicles were placed in impound lots for various violations.
PSMIA emphasized that despite the imposed bans, intensified raids, and constant warnings, some drivers continue to violate traffic rules.
