In Talas, a man doused his wife with gasoline and set her on fire. Caution, photo
In the Bakai-Ata district of the Talas region, a horrific incident occurred: a 32-year-old man set his wife on fire after dousing her with gasoline. The victim was only able to recount the events two months later.

According to law enforcement agencies, the woman filed a complaint on February 5. She reported that the tragedy occurred on October 15 of last year. Before the arson, her husband first brutally beat her, then poured a flammable substance on her and ignited it.
During the initial investigation, the police learned that both spouses allegedly sustained burns as a result of an accident, which complicated the interrogation due to their serious condition.

It later emerged that the man had blackmailed his wife, threatening to kill their children, and forced her to say that the incident was an accident. The woman was treated in Bishkek for two months and only after a subsequent act of violence from her husband did she reveal the truth to her mother.

In connection with the incident, a criminal case has been initiated under the article "Causing serious harm to health." The suspect has been detained.
According to the Ombudsman Institute, the man who set his wife on fire works in the Talas city administration.
Reports indicate that the victim sustained burns over 60% of her body and requires further treatment. She is currently in Bishkek with her children.

Additionally, it is noted that the woman needs not only medical assistance but also psychological support.
