Two Firearms Surrendered by Bishkek Residents as Part of the "Arsenal" Campaign

As part of the preventive campaign "Arsenal," organized by the staff of the Lenin District Internal Affairs Department, two firearms were handed over to the police by residents of Bishkek. This was reported by the press service of the Lenin District Internal Affairs Directorate.

The goal of this initiative is to improve the criminal situation, as well as to identify and seize illegally stored firearms, ammunition, and explosives. At the same time, efforts were made to inform the public.




It is important to note that according to the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic, illegal acquisition, sale, storage, carrying, or transportation of firearms, ammunition, and explosives is subject to criminal penalties.
Citizens who voluntarily surrender illegally stored weapons are exempt from criminal liability and may receive a monetary reward.
Law enforcement agencies have urged the citizens of Bishkek not to remain indifferent and to surrender illegally stored weapons to the nearest internal affairs offices. During the campaign, cases of illegal storage of weapons were also recorded, and those responsible are being held accountable under Article 268 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
